Imparting Indian Classical Music Education in vocal and instrumental forms in a unique traditional style. In this direction, Mahavidyalaya has been conducting its own formal courses for Vocal and Instrumental music. Syllabus for these courses has been aptly framed by experts. Examinations are conducted on semester basis. These are certified courses and are of multiple levels as summarized below Level 1 - Bodhini series (bodhini, subodhini, prabodhini, paribodhini) Level 2 - Modini series (modini, sumodini, pramodini, parimodini) Level 3 - Mani series (naadamani, choodamani, vidwan mani, pandit ) Other objectives include • Inculcating music interest in the society and making people appreciate the need of music in one’s life |
• Organizing music workshops, orientation programs, demos and music appreciation courses
• Leveraging music to foster noble human values like brotherhood, non-violence
• Conducting courses related to application of music in various fields like medicine (music therapy), yoga etc..
• Implementing music in academics by working with educational institutions
• Conducting music competitions and encouraging music aspirants via scholarships
• Reaching the geographic breadth of India by establishing a distance music education centre
• Helping poor and physically challenged people secure music education
• Recognizing veteran musicians and musicologists through felicitations and stipends
• Establishing a Music Research Centre in affiliation with University/Government
• Publishing books, periodic music magazines
